Protein in the urine can be caused by a number of different things, from dehydration to serious health conditions. We generally do not see protein in urine associated with HIV or STIs.

We would recommend that you go see a health care provider in person and discuss your symptoms with them. We would recommend returning to the place where you had your urine tested, as they will be able to give you the most information.
