You can have an IUD put in if you have a yeast infection. Yeast is normally in the vagina – we call it an “infection”, but really it is just an “overgrowth” of microbes that are normally in the vagina. If you are very itchy and uncomfortable with the yeast, you might want to wait until after you treat it to go get the IUD inserted. We use a speculum in your vagina when we put in an IUD, and this can be painful if your vagina is very sore from the yeast.
Eating mushrooms will not make your yeast infection worse.
