Neuropathy or peripheral neuropathy is when the peripheral nerves are damaged, depending on the nerves that get damaged people can experience pain, numbness, weakness, sensitivity etc…

There are a number of medical conditions that can cause peripheral neuropathy. The herpes simplex virus (HSV) attacks nerve tissue so it can cause neuropathy.

If you think HSV could be causing peripheral neuropathy for you, it would be important to discuss this with your healthcare provider.
