Yes, it is possible to have HIV without having a fever. Many people who get HIV feel no symptoms at all. Early symptoms, when they happen, are usually fever, swollen glands, rash and fatigue. Usually this happens within 2 – 4 weeks after you come in contact with HIV and symptoms can last for 1 – 2 weeks.
Keep in mind fever can be also caused by many other things.
If you are concerned about HIV the best way to find out is by going for a HIV test. An HIV test at 8 weeks would be very accurate (approximately 98%), although it can take up to 3 months for a final result.
