That sounds very scary. I hope you were not hurt.

From what you have described, your risk of HIV infection is very low. If the motorcycle driver was HIV positive and his blood got on your skin it would be very unlikely the virus would get into your blood stream (even if you had some small cuts).

It is also a very unlikely the virus would transmit if you got HIV infected blood in your eye. This is not how we see the virus being passed. This is more of a “theoretical risk” and not a “real risk”. In other words, theoretically it could happen but realistically HIV does not get transmitted this way.

If you are still concerned you can test but find out what the Window period for the HIV test used where you test and test accordingly.
