Thanks for your question. Seroconversion is when people create antibodies to HIV virus in their blood. We think that over 99% of people will produce antibodies to HIV within 3 months of being infected, and will then show as positive on an ELISA or a Western blot HIV test. We certainly have never seen anyone taking over a year to produce HIV antibodies. It seems extremely unlikely that HIV is what is causing your symptoms.
