Thanks for writing in detail about your concerns. Having cryotherapy for wart treatment is not a way we see HIV transmitted. It is a normal process of cryotherapy to develop inflammation at the treatment site which blisters in a few hours and then breaks down to sores which heal quickly in 4-5 days. New swabs are used each time when the cryotherapy is done using swabs to apply the liquid nitrogen. This way there is no risk of contamination between patients. When you go back to the clinic to have the area checked to see if you need further treatment, be sure to ask the nurse about this concern.
