But i read this statement on your website “In most cases, an HPV infection that causes genital warts will clear on its own. It usually takes anywhere from a few months to a couple of years. Genital warts can disappear on their own or with treatment, but a person may still have the virus in their body” I had 3 tiny warts on my anus and I froze them with liquid nitrogen,is it possible that my body clear hpv ?and clear up means that hpv goes away forever? Or it can breakout after my hpv dna test become negative? Im a female ,23 and not sexually active.have i chance to clear up hpv ??

Hi, thanks for your question. It is definitely possible for your body to clear HPV and for that strain of wart causing HPV to go away completely. In fact most people who are exposed to HPV strains, clear HPV completely. Of course it is always possible to come in contact with another strain of HPV through different partners. Having the warts treated, helps your body’s immune system identify the virus and start an immune response to clear it so you are already doing what is recommended. You may also want to consider having Gardisil 9, the HPV vaccination series.
