I am sorry to hear that you are worried. You said that you had protected sex and we know that using a condom during sex is a very good way to protect ourselves from this virus. As long as the condom did not break or come off while you were having sex, you should have nothing to worry about as far as HIV transmission.

For anyone who is sexually active we do recommend regular STI and HIV testing. Condoms are a very good way of protecting yourself from these infections but some STIs such as Syphilis can still be passed even when a condom is used.
