Hi and thanks for your question. Because the treatment for chlamydia takes 7 days to work and there can be transmission of chlamydia between partners even when a condom is used; it is recommended that you and your partner be treated again and abstain from sex for seven days after the treatment.
The joint and muscle symptoms you are describing are not symptoms of chlamydia. Please check with your health care provider about this concern. Health Nurse
