Yes the test will be accurate. It won’t matter that you had sex before the test.
The biggest factor in accuracy with the gonorrhea and chlamydia vaginal NAAT test is that you have waited long enough before getting tested e.g. window period. For example with this test we find that most results will be accurate after 2 weeks but in some cases it can take up to 6 weeks for the chlamydia test to show a final result.
This means that if you had some sex you are concerned about its best to wait at least 2 weeks before getting this test done.
If you have any STI symptoms it is always best to go to the clinic straight away.
