If you were wearing a condom before you had any vaginal contact and you still had the condom on after you pulled your penis out and there were no tears or holes in the condom, then this is considered protected sex against HIV and other STI’s. If you are sexually active then the recommendation is for you and your partners to test regularly for STI’s so that you know your own status. Regular screening also means that any STI’s without symptoms can be detected and treated early.
