Hi, thanks for writing in with your concern. HIV is not transmitted by touching someone’s outer vagina with your hand.  HIV is transmitted in two main ways 1. through direct contact with HIV positive blood and 2. through exposure to HIV positive sex fluids like vaginal fluids, rectal fluids or semen ( this happens when no condom is used so the tip of the penis is exposed). It sounds like you had protected sex and prevented any possible HIV transmission.  Health Nurse
