Hi there
It is possible to have a herpes sore inside your nose. It is also true that the herpes virus can be carried in body fluids including saliva or the mucous in your nose. There is some chance of passing on the virus if there is contact with those fluids.
However, the main way to pass on herpes is by direct contact with the sore during an outbreak. If you have a herpes sore in your nose, there is no direct contact with the sore when you kiss and share cigarettes and cups.
It is possible to pass the virus to other parts of your own body, but it is not that common. If you blow your nose into a tissue, then there should be little chance of spreading it elsewhere on your face. If you touch the area, it is important to wash your hands before touching another part of your body.
It would be a good idea to see your health care provider for an accurate diagnosis. It is possible that there are other reasons for your symptoms. Once you know what is causing your symptoms you can figure out how to best manage it, including whether you can pass it on to others.
