Hi and thanks for your question. Yes, you both need to be retreated. It is recommended to abstain from sex for seven days after treatment to be sure that the medication is effective at clearing the infection and the infection is not passed back and forth between you and your boyfriend. If you still have abdominal pain, it is very important that you see a doctor about this. I am not sure what health care options are available where you are in British Columbia, but if the hospital emergency is where you can see a doctor about your pain and retreatment, then do go there as soon as you can.
