Condoms provide great protection against HIV when used correctly.

We also don’t see HIV being passed when receiving oral sex or kissing.

It is possible that some STI like gonorrhea and chlamydia can be passed to you if receiving oral sex without protection. Have a look at our “Know your chances” web page, it provides information on your chances of getting or passing an STI depending on how you are having sex.
