Home / Answered Questions / im 19 yrs old and sexually active i have a bf of almost 3 yrs .i havent gotten my period in 2 months , my last regular 7 day period was on march 17th , on april i didnt get it but i thought that was normal because ever since a couple of months ago my period became irregular & i would skip one month then start the next , but not this time i missed my period on may also , ive taken two at home pregnancy tests and they both said negative . i am not on any birth control .but if i find out i am NOT pregnant i will get on the pill immediately, im just worried and im stressing myself out is there something wrong with me ?, im nervous of going to the clinic. i need some advice anything will help right now :/ thank you so much

There are a number of different things that may cause you to miss your period. For example being pregnant, low body weight, increased exercise, stress, hormonal imbalances etc…

As you have done two home pregnancy tests it is safe to say being pregnant is not the cause of your missed periods. I would recommend going to see a health professional and discussing your situation with them to see what could be causing the change for you. Let us know if you need help finding someone in your area.

Missing your period is not a symptom of having a STI. The most common symptom of an STI is feeling fine. If you are concerned an STI could have been passed to you just talk with the health professional you see and they could order some testing for you.
