It's me again from Ghana last question very sorry after that I will do my best to move on questions : is it possible to test negative with a 3rd Gen Elisa at 12 weeks and later if a different test is used on me would yield a different result ? they say there are cases a person doesn't produce antibody to HIV for a prolonged period of time please enlighten me If you can explain the causes I will move on 3)why the CDC say that even at 12 weeks a 4th Gen must be used don't they know that it is not yet in Africa and some parts of world? 4)I am 12 weeks Elisa 3rd Gen negative can I move on do you think that this obsession is unhealthy? I can only comment on the HIV tests that we use in Canada.

The 3rd generation HIV antibody test we use is 95% accurate by 6 weeks and would give you a final result by 12 weeks. If you had this test in Canada at 12 weeks we would tell you that there would be no need for any further testing.

The best person to ask would be the person who did the HIV test for you, they would let you know how accurate your test is at 12 weeks.
