Hi
It’s possible that sexually transmitted infections (STI) like syphilis, herpes simplex virus (HSV) and the human papillomavirus (HPV) can be passed with genital to genital contact.
The chance of having something passed to you would increase the longer the contact takes place and if there was genital to genital rubbing.
Have a look at our “Know your chances” web page, it provides information on your chances of getting or passing an STI depending on how you are having sex.
