You are right, none of these activities puts you at risk for HIV. You might get another STI this way, though, if she had another STI when you had oral sex. You can get syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea or herpes from receiving oral sex without a condom. Different STIs can take different amounts of time before being detected on tests or showing symptoms, and some never have any noticeable symptoms. You can look at the “STIs at a glance” chart to find out about the best time to test. We usually suggest that 2 or 3 months after unprotected sex is a good time to get tested for most STIs. If you do get any symptoms like burning when you pee or sores or rashes on your penis, go into a clinic right away.
