Was wondering if it is possible to notice symptoms of chlamydia the day that you had sex, approximately 6-8 hour later

Hi there, thanks for your question.

It’s very common for people not to experience any symptoms when they have chlamydia but if they do develop symptoms, it may take 14 to 21 days after sex before they appear.

Another STI that can have similar symptoms to chlamydia is gonorrhea. Symptoms for gonorrhea usually show up 2-7 days after contact.

However, if you are experiencing symptoms, I would encourage you to find the clinic closest to you to visit a healthcare professional and get tested for STIs. You can find a clinic here: http://smartsexresource.com/get-tested/clinic-finder
