Hi
The risks for HIV are similar with blowjobs (performing oral sex on a man) or eating out (performing oral sex on a woman). In both these cases, HIV is not passed to the person receiving oral sex.
It is possible for those performing oral sex to get HIV, but it is not commonly passed this way.
Both partners can pass gonorrhea and chlamydia with eating out. Gonorrhea and chlamydia are easily passed between both partners with blowjobs.
HPV (genital warts), Herpes and Syphilis are easily passed with blow jobs and eating out because they are spread through skin – to – skin contact.
Using a condom or barrier with oral sex lowers the chances of passing or getting an STI.
