Blood in stools - can this be related to std's?

Hi

Blood in your stool (poo) can be a sign of a sexually transmitted infection (STI), but there are also a number of other things that can cause blood in the stool. For example, hemorrhoids (which are very common) can cause bleeding.

In order to get an accurate idea of what is causing your symptoms, It is important that you see a doctor about the blood in your stool. If you have not been tested for STI's recently, it may be a good idea to that done also.

Have a look at our clinic finder if you need help finding a place for STI testing or talk to your doctor about testing when you go to your visit.
