Can one contact STD from toilet or partner?

Hi, and thank you for your question
We do not know of anyone getting a sexually transmitted infection (STI) from toilet seats or toilet water. You do not need to worry about getting an STI this way. STIs are spread directly from person to person during oral, anal or vaginal sex.
For more information about different STIs and how they are passed from person to person, have a look at our Know Your Chances charts found here: https://smartsexresource.com/about-stis/know-your-chances-0

Let us know if this does not answer your question or if you have any more questions or concerns.
