The Hepatitis Services team at the BC Centre for Disease Control invites those who provide (or work at a clinic that provides) hepatitis C treatment in British Columbia (BC) to participate in a short survey.
The survey will be used to create a database that will allow referring physicians and members of the public to locate hepatitis C treatment providers who can meet specific client needs. The goal is to improve linkage with care for people in BC affected by hepatitis C as we work towards making BC HepC-Free!
Current online clinic and physician databases in BC and Canada do not discern between hepatitis C screening providers and treatment providers, and do not indicate special services offered. This new database will be filling a critical gap in facilitating linkage to care for people living with hepatitis C in BC.
Clinics and practitioners completing the survey can indicate if they are accepting new clients, if they allow self-referral or if they have any exceptions to the clients they are able to see in their clinic (e.g. only women, or only opioid agonist treatment clients, etc).
The survey will be available until December 31st, 2019
