BCCDC Provincial STI clinic announcement regarding COVID-19

The BCCDC Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Clinics are committed to ensuring our patients and staff remain safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, while still ensuring that our patients get the best care.

During this time, we will only be seeing the highest priority STI patients at the Provincial STI Clinic at 655 W 12th St, Vancouver. The clinic will remain open, but we will be limiting the services available only to essential clinical care. Most visits for routine STI testing, vaccinations, and other non-urgent appointments will be temporarily stopped. Our Bute St clinic in Vancouver will be temporarily closed.

If you feel you need to be seen, please call our STI nursing line and a nurse will discuss your options. The phone number is 604-707-5603, and it is answered at the following times:

  • Mon-Wed: 08:35 am – 4:15 pm
  • Thu: 09:35 am – 4:15 pm
  • Sat: 9:35 am – 1:00 pm

Many other sexual health clinics in British Columbia have reduced their hours of operation or services as a result of COVID-19. We are working to update hours where possible on our clinic finder, but we also recommend calling ahead by phone before visiting for updates on service availability.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.
