The Annual BC Liver Forum will take place at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on November 30 and December 1, 2021. The 9th Annual Liver Forum is free to attend, and will be a hybrid meeting which will include in-person sessions, alongside a simultaneous live online stream for those who prefer to participate virtually. The in-person sessions are limited in capacity and available on a first-registered basis, with wait-list if needed. Persons attending the in-person session will be required to provide proof of vaccination and to follow current recommendations in accordance with BC Public Health guidelines.
The meeting includes a lecture series as well as dedicated discussion sessions and workshops. This is BC’s largest liver meeting, with Royal College accreditation pending. The content of the sessions will be focused on clinical discussion in the areas of: HBV, HCV, NAFLD, cholestasis, and hepatocellular carcinoma, along with an update on high impact publications in Hepatology from 2020 – 2021 and care cascade update from BC Centre for Disease Control.
Attendance of all health care providers who have an interest in evaluating and treating liver diseases is catered for: Gastroenterologists, Hepatologists, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease Physicians, Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Pharmacists, Dieticians, and any members of the multidisciplinary team involved in the care of the liver patient.
In addition to being a clinical education event, the Annual BC Liver Forum is also intended to foster relations and strengthen connections within this diverse group health care providers.
