Together Alone in Vancouver

Join a conversation about loneliness in queer men, hosted by UBC Men's Health Research.

When: Thursday, June 8
Time: 6:30 - 8:00 PM Pacific time
Where: 1216 Bute Street, Vancouver, BC

Why do queer men experience such high rates of loneliness? And how do these experiences contribute to higher rates of depression, drug use, and suicide?

This conversation is an opportunity to discuss how to interpret these trends, and how to help queer men in our own circles. The panel for this event will feature Michael Hobbes, author of the recent Huffington Post article, Together Alone: The Epidemic of Gay Loneliness.

This event is free. Donations to the Health Initiative for Men and the Still Here project are welcome.

Accessibility: The XY entrance includes a flight of stairs and so unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible. The event will be audio-recorded and made available for those unable to attend in person.

For more information, visit the Together Alone Facebook page.
